Bennett CSD School Special Board Meeting

May 15th, 2025

8:30AM

 

  1. Meeting called to order at 8:30am. 

    1. Roll Call - Present: Director Pratt, Director Giebelstein, Director Reynolds, and Director McGhee. Absent: Director Bjurstrom. Also present: Superintendent Shane Knoche, Principal Jeremiah Costello, Board Secretary Kylee Yoerger.

  2. Review BEA and district proposals

  3. Action to be taken on teacher compensation - Director Reynolds moved, seconded by Director Giebelstein to approve teacher compensation. Motion carried 4/0.

  4. Director McGhee moved, seconded by Director Reynolds to enter exempt session: support staff compensation strategy session per IA Code Ch. 20.17.3. Motion carried 4/0.

  5. Director Reynolds moved, seconded by Director McGhee to exit the exempt session. Motion carried 4/0.

  6. Approval of insurance package - Director Reynolds moved, seconded by Director Gieblestein to approve insurance package. Ayes-Director Pratt, Director Giebelstein, Director Reynolds. Nayes-Director McGhee. Motion carried 3/1. 

 

Director Reynolds moved, seconded by Director McGhee to adjourn the meeting at 10:10am. Motion carried 4/0.
